President Nechirvan Barzani is scheduled to depart for Rome, Italy, on Friday evening to attend the farewell ceremony for His Holiness Pope Francis.

The president, who will also represent Iraq, is set to participate in the official ceremony at the Vatican this Saturday, which is expected to draw dignitaries from around the world.
