President Nechirvan Barzani attends the funeral of the late Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani

President Nechirvan Barzani attended the funeral of the late Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani in Doha, joining regional and world leaders and senior officials in mourning. The President was welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar.

On behalf of himself and the Kurdistan Region, President Nechirvan Barzani conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Qatar, as well as to the ruling family and the people of Qatar.

In response, the Emir of Qatar thanked President Nechirvan Barzani for attending the funeral and acknowledged the condolences extended by the Kurdistan Region to the State of Qatar.
