President Nechirvan Barzani received General Mazloum Abdi, the General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
In their meeting, they discussed the Kurdish question and the situation of other communities in Syria. They also exchanged views on the SDF’s dialogue with Damascus, as well as the threats and dangers of terrorism and the resurgence of ISIS.
President Nechirvan Barzani emphasized the necessity of unity among the Kurdish sides and resolving their issues through dialogue and understanding, in order to protect the rights of the Kurdish people in Syria.
For his part, General Abdi reaffirmed his appreciation for President Nechirvan Barzani’s support for the rights of the Kurdish people in Syria and his efforts toward resolving issues with Damascus.
