President Nechirvan Barzani meets with the Head of the Azem Alliance

Baghdad, Iraq, November 27, 2022

President Nechirvan Barzani met today in Baghdad with the Head of the Azem Alliance, Mr. Muthanna Abdul Samad al-Samarrai.

The meeting discussed the latest political and security developments in the country, emphasizing the importance of cooperation among the Iraqi parties to overcome the difficulties and to support the new government and its agenda.

In the meeting, also attended by the President’s accompanying delegation and a number of the leaders of the Azem Alliance, both sides reiterated the importance of improved cooperation, strengthening of citizen rights, and broader teamwork.
