Continuing his meetings in Baghdad, President Nechirvan Barzani met with Mr. Muhammed al-Halbousi, the Speaker of the Council of Representatives of Iraq.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on Iraq’s budget draft law, which has been submitted to the Council of Representatives for approval. Both sides agreed on the importance of passing the law which will be crucial for the country’s economic recovery and job creations.
They also discussed the agreement between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government of Iraq, emphasizing the importance of implementing the procedures. In this regard, they pointed out that the delay in implementing the agreement will negatively impact Iraq’s total incomes.
Discussions also covered the bilateral relations of Erbil-Baghdad and the situation in Iraq and the wider region.
