President Nechirvan Barzani received Mr. Anıl Bora İnan, the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, along with his accompanying delegation.
Their discussions addressed Türkiye’s relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the political landscape in Iraq, and the enhancement of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic and trade sectors. They emphasized the necessity of ongoing coordination to uphold peace and stability.
The meeting focused on the political situation in the Kurdistan Region and the initiatives aimed at addressing and resolving internal challenges. Both sides acknowledged that dialogue and mutual understanding between Erbil and Baghdad are essential for addressing outstanding issues.
The peace process in Türkiye and the latest regional developments were also discussed. They agreed on the importance of resolving conflicts peacefully and maintaining peace and stability.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Erman Topçu, Consul General of Türkiye in the Kurdistan Region.
