On the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Teachers Union, I extend my warmest congratulations to the Union’s Secretariat and to every teacher across Kurdistan. May you continue to carry forward your noble mission with strength and success.
This anniversary is an opportunity to reflect, with deep respect and gratitude, on the historic and national role our teachers have played. Time and again, the teachers of Kurdistan have shown themselves to be far more than instructors in a classroom; they have been devoted mentors and steadfast guardians of our people’s identity, language, and enduring values. During the years of revolution and struggle, they stood on the front lines of awareness and consciousness. In the difficult period that followed after liberation, their loyalty and perseverance ensured that the work of education never came to a halt.
Teachers are the foundation of every meaningful advancement in society. Investing in their skills and development is, in truth, an investment in the future of generations to come. For this reason, I reaffirm my full support for their rightful demands and for ensuring a dignified standard of living that reflects the weight of their responsibilities, the importance of their role, and the dedication of their work.
I congratulate the Kurdistan Teachers Union, which has long served as a unifying force for teachers and a steadfast defender of their rights. I also pay tribute to the memory of those teachers who gave their lives for the cause of education and the freedom of Kurdistan.
Wishing the Kurdistan Teachers Union a happy anniversary.
