President Nechirvan Barzani receives US Consul General

President Nechirvan Barzani received Gwendolyn Green, the United States Consul General in Erbil.

The meeting addressed relations between the United States, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region, the internal situation in the Kurdistan Region, and relations between Erbil and Baghdad.

Both sides underscored the importance of internal unity and accelerating efforts to form the new Kurdistan Regional Government cabinet.

They also discussed the need to resolve outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad on the basis of the Constitution and in a manner that safeguards stability, as well as the latest political and security developments in the region.
