Statement from President of the Kurdistan Region

We strongly condemn the attacks that targeted the office of Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, and the residence of the Head of the Security and Intelligence Agency. These attacks are unacceptable and constitute a dangerous escalation.

We call on the Federal Government to fulfill its responsibilities and constitutional obligations to safeguard the security and stability of the country and to prevent the recurrence of such acts of aggression.

Safeguarding the sovereignty, security, and stability of Iraq, including the Kurdistan Region, is a shared responsibility, and all parties must collaborate to ease tensions and prevent further escalation.
