Statement from the Kurdistan Region Presidency

Following the unfortunate events that occurred in Sulaimaniyah this morning, resulting in several victims, we underscore the critical importance of adhering to the rule of law, maintaining security and stability within the city, and protecting the lives and property of its residents. All disputes must be resolved through lawful and peaceful mechanisms.

We extends our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wish for the prompt recovery of those injured.
