Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani received the Leader of al-Fateh Alliance, Mr. Hadi al-Ameri, in Erbil on Monday.
Topics of discussions included the latest developments in Iraq, the disputes and obstacles to the political process in the country, the upcoming steps and talks among Iraqi factions and their efforts to elect the president and to form the new government.
Both sides underlined the importance of preserving the political process and stability, resolving the problems and challenges through dialogue, and expressed hope that mutual understanding brings Iraqi parties and factions together.
