Kurdistan Region President to Attend Climate Change Conference in Azerbaijan

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region, November 11, 2024

President Nechirvan Barzani will travel to Baku today at the official invitation of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev to participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29).

According to Kurdistan Region Presidency spokesperson Dilshad Shahab, President Nechirvan Barzani will join other world leaders at the conference's opening ceremony on Tuesday. The global summit will focus on addressing environmental challenges and climate change impacts.
