On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, I extend my warmest congratulations to the families of the martyrs and the Peshmerga heroes. I congratulate Muslims in Kurdistan, Iraq and the world, as well as our law enforcement personnel, the medical teams and relevant institutions in the Kurdistan Region who have tirelessly been combatting the COVID-19 pandemic.
I hope that we turn this celebration into an opportunity to further strengthen the spirit of tolerance, harmony and peaceful co-existence among all the religious and ethnic communities in Kurdistan. I hope that our collective efforts result in lasting solutions to our disagreements. I would also like to assure our fellow Kurdistanis that we will continue to work towards these objectives, as we all need to support one another and work together in order to overcome the current crises and disagreements and to ensure the constitutional rights of the Kurdistan Region and preserving its lawful status and entity.
I also highly appreciate the resilience and the patience of the people of Kurdistan who are going through crises and economic hardship due to the implications of COVID-19 pandemic. I hope that our future celebrations are held in more joyful conditions after we overcome these difficulties and prosperity returns to Kurdistan. I also urge everyone to continue to follow the protective measures against the pandemic.
Happy Eid al-Adha, wishing everyone happiness and prosperity. I hope peace and stability prevails in Kurdistan, Iraq, the entire region and the world.
