President Nechirvan Barzani met with Ambassador of France to Iraq, Bruno Aubert.
President Barzani discussed the alarming demonstrations in Iraq, the country's dire need for political and security stability and the serious threat of the resurgence of ISIS terror.
Both sides exchanged views on the developed relations between the Kurdistan Region and France, Erbil-Baghdad relations, the current political situation in Iraq and security developments in Baghdad and other provinces. They also discussed the conditions of displaced persons and refugees in the Kurdistan Region, the need for joint coordination between the Iraqi Army and the Peshmerga forces in the disputed areas and the conditions of the areas destroyed in the war against ISIS terrorism.
President Barzani conveyed the Kurdistan Region's appreciation to France and President Emmanuel Macron for supporting the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting was also attended by French Consul-General in Erbil, Olivier Decottignies.
