President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani met with Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces and Chairman of the UAE Executive Council.
In the meeting, both leaders discussed latest security and political developments in Iraq and the demonstrations in Baghdad and other cities, while reiterating the need for security and stability in Iraq and the wider region.
They expressed their willingness to further strengthen relations between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq with the UAE, especially commercial ties and highlighted investment opportunities for Emirati businesses in the Kurdistan Region.
The relations of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq with neighbouring countries, latest developments in Syria and the danger of terror resurgence, among other issues, were also discussed in the meeting.
