On the occasion of the 56th anniversary of the establishment of the Kurdistan Islamic Scholars Union, I extend my warmest congratulations to the President and members of its Executive Office, its leadership, and all religious teachers and scholars of the noble Islamic faith in the Kurdistan Region. I wish them continued success.
We honor the historical contributions of religious scholars and their union throughout the liberation struggle and during the revolution, standing alongside the Peshmerga and the people of Kurdistan. We honor the memory of the martyred religious scholars and all martyrs of the Kurdistan freedom movement who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
Our respected religious teachers have always been a pillar in safeguarding human and national values. They have played a prominent role in promoting equality, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among the various components of society, as well as in confronting extremism and preserving social peace. We reaffirm that the Kurdistan Region will remain a land of peaceful coexistence.
