President Nechirvan Barzani held a phone call with Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, to discuss the aftermath of last night’s flooding in Erbil and assess the damage, particularly its impact on citizens.
The President offered his condolences and sympathies to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives in the floods. He directed the Governor and relevant authorities to provide all necessary assistance and support to those affected and to take appropriate steps to address the consequences of the flooding.
The Governor briefed the President on the situation, the extent of the damage, and the response measures taken. He also expressed his gratitude for the President’s continued attention to the situation and his follow-up on the conditions of citizens affected by the floods.
