Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani spoke with the President-elect of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Monday.
During the phone call, the President congratulated President-elect Raisi on his victory in the presidential elections and wished him success.
The President expressed appreciation for Iran’s support to the Kurdistan Region during difficult times and hoped that Kurdistan Region’s historic relations with Iran develop based on mutual interests and neighborly bonds. The President expressed hope that mutual relations will lead to strengthened cooperation and partnership.
