President Nechirvan Barzani met with Iran’s Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei in Tehran today.
During their discussion, President Barzani expressed his pleasure to meet with Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei and underscored the Kurdistan Region's aspiration to strengthen relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran across various sectors. Additionally, the President expressed appreciation towards Iran for its support extended to both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Both parties emphasized the significance of the relationship between the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and agreed on the importance of upholding peace and stability, in addition to enhancing collaboration between the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region.
Their meeting also addressed the regional situation and other issues of mutual interest.
