President Nechirvan Barzani issues two regional decrees on military ranks

In a statement to the Presidency’s website, Dilshad Shahab, spokesperson for the Kurdistan Region Presidency, announced:

President Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region and Commander-in-Chief of the Peshmerga Forces, signed a decree today granting Lieutenant rank to 210 officers graduating from Qalachwalan Military College III.

He also stated that, in a separate decree, President Nechirvan Barzani approved the promotion of the ranks of 95 officers serving within the Kurdistan Region Security Institution (Asayish General Directorate).

Both decrees took effect immediately upon being signed.
