President Nechirvan Barzani met with Reem Alabali Radovan, Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, in Munich during the Munich Security Conference.
Their discussions focused on German initiatives and assistance in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, particularly in reconstruction, human development, and reform support. President Nechirvan Barzani conveyed the Kurdistan Region’s gratitude for Germany’s assistance to refugees and for strengthening service infrastructure, with special thanks for the support extended to the Yezidi community.
The President emphasized the importance of safeguarding the rights of communities and fostering a culture of coexistence within the Kurdistan Region. In response, Ms. Radovan reaffirmed her country’s commitment to continued cooperation and commended the Kurdistan Region’s efforts to uphold community rights and advance development across various sectors.
