President Nechirvan Barzani separately met with two groups of German parliamentarians in Munich, Germany. The two groups of MPs were from the SPD party and from the alliance of CDU and CSU parties. The discussions during these meetings primarily revolved around the relations between Germany, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region, as well as the overall situation in the region.
The parliamentarians shared their viewpoints on strengthening the bonds between Germany and Iraq, particularly with regards to the Kurdistan Region. They also explored potential avenues for future collaboration across various sectors. Furthermore, they commended the Kurdistan Region for its fight against terrorism and for providing support to the ethnic and religious communities, particularly the Yezidis.
