President Nechirvan Barzani welcomed a delegation from the Iraqi diaspora in the United States, headed by Martin Manna, President of the Chaldean-American Chamber of Commerce.
During the discussion, President Nechirvan Barzani acknowledged the significant contributions of the Iraqi diaspora to fostering relationships between Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and the global community and promoting economic growth. He emphasized the necessity of safeguarding Iraqis' national identity and cultural and religious diversity while enhancing peaceful coexistence among all communities.
The delegation, in turn, expressed their gratitude for the culture of acceptance, coexistence, and tolerance that characterizes the Kurdistan Region. They advocated for increased collaboration with the Kurdistan Region, particularly in economic and investment initiatives involving the Iraqi diaspora and the Kurdistan Region. They also shared various proposals for work and investment projects in the Nineveh Plain and the Region.
The President reaffirmed the Kurdistan Region's commitment to fostering peaceful coexistence and tolerance among all communities. He assured that the Region will continue to act as a model of peace, pluralism, and openness, while also emphasizing the significance of strengthening connections between Iraqis, both domestically and internationally. He also expressed willingness to facilitate investment opportunities in the Kurdistan Region.
