Concluding his meetings in Germany today on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, President Nechirvan Barzani met with Mr. Thomas Erndl, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Bundestag, and a number of members of the CDU and CSU parliamentary teams.
At the meeting, discussions focused on the Kurdistan Region's relations with Germany and ways to further enhance the areas of cooperation and partnership; also Germany's support and assistance to the Kurdistan Region, and the developments in Iraq were highlighted.
President Nechirvan Barzani praised the German humanitarian and military support and aid to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, expressing hope that the German parliament and government will continue to assist Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Other topics of discussion included the Erbil-Baghdad relations and the issue of migration and immigrants.
