During the Munich Security Conference, President Nechirvan Barzani met with Allison Hooker, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States.
Their discussions focused on the relationship between the United States and Iraq, as well as the Kurdistan Region, addressing various matters of mutual concern. President Nechirvan Barzani emphasized the necessity of continued United States assistance to ensure the stability and institutional development of the country.
Ms. Hooker commended President Nechirvan Barzani’s contributions to the agreement between Damascus and the SDF and reaffirmed her country’s commitment to supporting Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, as well as resolving the issues between Erbil and Baghdad.
