President Nechirvan Barzani received the German Ambassador to Iraq, Ms. Christiane Hohmann, today in Erbil. They discussed ways to enhance Germany’s relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, focusing on expanding cooperation across various sectors.
The meeting also touched upon the formation of the new cabinet and the talks between Erbil and Baghdad. Additionally, they addressed recent developments in the Middle East, the ongoing threat of terrorism, and the persistent danger posed by ISIS, agreeing on the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region while advocating for peaceful conflict resolution.
The situation in Syria and other mutually significant topics were also part of their discussions.
