President Nechirvan Barzani received Mr. Hassan Mohammed Zaman, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Iraq.
President Nechirvan Barzani expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Kuwait’s support to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. He highlighted the importance of addressing issues between Iraq and Kuwait through mutual understanding, good neighborly relations, and shared interests that serve both sides and contribute to regional peace and stability.
Ambassador Zaman reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to resolving outstanding matters through dialogue and expressed his country’s desire to strengthen relations with Iraq in all fields. He also emphasized Kuwait’s appreciation of its friendship and historical ties with the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting also covered opportunities for Kuwaiti business and investment in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, Erbil-Baghdad relations, and the broader regional situation.
