President Nechirvan Barzani welcomed Mr. Mahmut Özdil, the Chairman of Türkiye’s Maarif Foundation, along with his delegation. They engaged in discussions regarding the foundation's initiatives in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and the collaborative efforts between the foundation and relevant local institutions.
During the meeting, President Nechirvan Barzani congratulated Mr. Özdil on his recent appointment and expressed his best wishes for his success. He also offered his full support to ensure the foundation's projects thrive, highlighting the potential for mutual collaboration and the benefits of leveraging Türkiye’s successful educational practices.
In response, Mr. Özdil conveyed his appreciation for the support and collaboration from stakeholders in the Kurdistan Region. He provided insights into the foundation's schools in Baghdad and Erbil and articulated the foundation's eagerness to enhance partnerships with similar institutions in the Region. He acknowledged the significant contributions of the Rwanga Foundation in education and reiterated their commitment to fostering joint initiatives.
The meeting, which was also attended by the Consul General of Türkiye in the Kurdistan Region, underscored the critical importance of quality education and maintaining high educational standards.
