President Nechirvan Barzani received Iraqi National Security Advisor Mr. Qasim al-Araji this afternoon.
They engaged in a discussion regarding the latest updates on the security situation in Iraq, emphasizing the need for continued coordination and cooperation among the Iraqi army, Peshmerga, and security forces. They also addressed recent initiatives and progress in the peace process in Türkiye.
The discussion further covered the current situation and recent developments in the Middle East, along with their impact on countries in the region. Both sides agreed on the importance of maintaining a policy that keeps Iraq uninvolved in regional tensions and conflicts, while working to address these challenges to ensure peace and stability in the country.
Border security and various other security matters were also highlighted during the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Interior.
