President Nechirvan Barzani met with Mr. Antonio Tajani, Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in Rome. The two sides discussed strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and Italy across various fields.
President Nechirvan Barzani reiterated the gratitude and appreciation of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq for Italy’s continued cooperation and support for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, as well as its role in preserving regional stability.
For his part, Antonio Tajani reaffirmed Italy’s continued support for the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, stating that his country views the Kurdistan Region as an important factor in regional stability. He also expressed Italy’s readiness to expand joint cooperation with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting also addressed the latest developments in the Middle East and their implications, emphasizing the importance of reducing tensions and preserving peace and stability.
