President Nechirvan Barzani held a meeting with Mr. Mohammed Halbusi, the leader of the Taqadum Party, in Baghdad on Saturday afternoon.
During the meeting, they discussed the political and security situation in Iraq, as well as the relations between Erbil and Baghdad. They also focused on finding solutions to the outstanding issues between the two sides, particularly addressing the threat of terrorism and the overall situation in the region.
Both parties emphasised the importance of cooperation among political parties to overcome the current challenges and to maintain political stability in the country, and of keeping the country away from the impact of regional conflicts.
Additionally, the meeting touched upon the results of provincial council elections in Iraq, including in the areas covered by Article 140 of the Constitution.
