President Nechirvan Barzani met with Estonian President Alar Karis during the Munich Security Conference this evening.
The purpose of the meeting was to explore the bilateral relations between Estonia, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region, with a focus on enhancing collaboration in security, technology, and education.
President Nechrvan Barzani expressed gratitude for Estonia's assistance as part of the international coalition against terrorism and highlighted the potential for cooperation in technology and higher education between the two nations.
President Alar Karis reiterated Estonia's commitment to strengthening its relationship with the Kurdistan Region and extended an invitation for President Nechirvan Barzani to visit Estonia. He emphasized the significance of collaboration in tackling regional security issues.
The meeting also addressed the Kurdistan Regional elections, recent developments in Iraq and Syria, as well as other matters of mutual concern.
