Continuing his meetings in Germany on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, President Nechirvan Barzani met with Mr. Omid Nouripour, Co-leader of the German Green Party and member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Parliament.
President Nechirvan Barzani congratulated Nouripour on assuming the office of Co-leader and also on the victory of the German Green Party in the recent elections. The President reiterated the Kurdistan Region's appreciation to the German Parliament, which extended Germany’s troops’ deployment to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, valuing the German humanitarian and military aid to the Kurdistan Region.
Discussions also highlighted the political situation in Iraq, the Parliament election results and the process of electing the Presidency of the Iraqi Council of Representatives.
