President Nechirvan Barzani met with Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum today.
During the meeting, they discussed the relationship between Iraq, the Kurdistan Region and the Arab League. They also addressed Erbil–Baghdad relations, Iraq’s political developments and the broader region, emphasizing the importance of maintaining stability and strengthening dialogue to resolve ongoing issues.
President Nechirvan Barzani praised the Arab League’s efforts to promote peace and stability in the region and commended Mr. Aboul Gheit and the League for their role in bringing member states’ perspectives closer together.
The Secretary-General, in turn, highlighted the progress and significant role of the Kurdistan Region in preserving peace and stability in Iraq and the wider region.
