President Nechirvan Barzani held a meeting with the UK Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Lord David Cameron, during the Munich Security Conference in Germany on Saturday.
The meeting discussed the current security challenges in Iraq and the Middle East, as well as the ongoing Erbil-Baghdad talks, elections, and the internal situation in the Kurdistan Region.
Both parties shared their perspectives on security developments, the targeting of coalition forces in Iraq, the conflict in Gaza, and the unstable conditions in the Middle East. Emphasis was placed on the potential risks posed by further escalation of tensions to regional stability.
The meeting also covered the UK's cooperation with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the security and political situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the threat of ISIS in Iraq and Syria, and the issue of illegal migration.
