President Nechirvan Barzani and Turkey’s Minister of Defense, Mr. Hulusi Akar discussed the current developments in Iraq, the recent election results and the efforts to correct the course of the political process in the country, following their meeting in Germany today on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
Discussions also focused on the relations of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region with Turkey, reaffirming that the joint cooperation and relations between Iraq and the Kurdistan Region with Turkey should promote and further strengthen security and stability in the wider region.
The war against terrorism, and the resurgence and threats of ISIS in Iraq and Syria were also highlighted.
