President Nechirvan Barzani held a meeting with Alina Romanowski, the US Ambassador to Iraq, on Tuesday.
The discussion centered on the parliamentary elections in Kurdistan and their results. During this meeting, Ms. Romanowski conveyed her congratulations to President Nechirvan Barzani and the people of Kurdistan for successfully conducting the election process. In this regard, both parties highlighted the importance of cooperation among political groups to form a government.
The meeting also focused on the relationship between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government of Iraq, emphasizing their collaborative efforts to address existing challenges. Both parties expressed appreciation for the ongoing dialogue aimed at finding mutual understanding and concurred that resolving the issues between Erbil and Baghdad would enhance the overall stability of the country.
Both sides also underscored the recent developments concerning the precarious situation in the Middle East. They emphasized the necessity for collaborative efforts in the region to uphold stability and avert further complications. Additionally, they reiterated the importance of Iraq remaining detached from regional conflicts and issues.
