President Nechirvan Barzani received Mr. Tom Barrack, the US Ambassador to Türkiye and Special Envoy for Syria, along with his accompanying delegation.
Their discussions focused on United States relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, recent developments in Syria, and the political landscape in both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Joshua Harris, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Iraq.
The visiting delegation conveyed their appreciation for President Nechirvan Barzani’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at stabilizing the region, easing tensions, and facilitating an agreement between Damascus and the SDF. In response, President Nechirvan Barzani emphasized that the Kurdistan Region will consistently serve as a pillar of peace and stability.
Another topic of discussion was the latest developments in the region. President Nechirvan Barzani highlighted the necessity of resolving issues through peaceful means and upholding peace and stability in the region.
