President Nechirvan Barzani received a phone call from Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, Prime Minister of Iraq.
During the call, Prime Minister Al-Sudani strongly condemned the drone strike on President Nechirvan Barzani's residence in Duhok that occurred today, and he also commended President Nechirvan Barzani's dedication to national unity and his efforts to foster collaboration among all Iraqis.
He mentioned that he has instructed the establishment of a joint security and technical team comprising members from both the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to investigate the incident and identify those responsible.
The Iraqi Prime Minister emphasized the federal government's commitment to prevent any foreign or international entities seeking to involve Iraq in regional conflicts, asserting that all necessary measures will be taken to safeguard Iraqi sovereignty, security, and stability.
In response, President Nechirvan Barzani expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Al-Sudani for reaching out and for the federal government's initiatives aimed at ensuring security and stability.
Another topic of discussion was the latest developments in Iraq and the surrounding region, both sides underscored the necessity of enhancing efforts to promote peace.
