President Nechirvan Barzani welcomed Sheikha Bashir Farhan, the Chargé d’Affaires of the UAE Consulate General in the Kurdistan Region, to engage in discussions on bilateral relations.
The President extended his congratulations to Farhan on her new appointment, wishing her success and expressing the support of the relevant parties in the Kurdistan Region for her.
Ms. Sheikha, in turn, extended the greetings of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the leadership of her country to the President of the Kurdistan Region, emphasizing the UAE’s commitment to enhancing relations with the Kurdistan Region.
The two sides engaged in a discussion on the most recent developments in the region, as well as the investment opportunities the UAE has in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
