President Nechirvan Barzani received Ms. Holly Vare, the new British Consul General in the Kurdistan Region.
The President congratulated Ms. Vare on her appointment and wished her every success in her new post. He assured her that the institutions of the Kurdistan Region stand ready to support her work in deepening ties between the United Kingdom and the Kurdistan Region across a range of fields.
Ms. Vare, in turn, expressed her pleasure at meeting President Nechirvan Barzani and at taking up her post as British Consul General in the Kurdistan Region. She underlined her commitment to broadening cooperation between the two sides in all sectors.
The two also discussed the latest developments in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the wider region, along with ways to build on the existing relationship.
