President Nechirvan Barzani welcomed today in Erbil the inaugural Consul General of the state of Qatar, Mr. Hussein Ali Saleh Al-Fazala, to the Kurdistan Region. During their meeting, the President extended his congratulations to Mr. Al-Fazala on his appointment and assured him of the Kurdistan Region's support. Additionally, he emphasized the Kurdistan Region's commitment to enhancing relations with Qatar.
Consul General Al-Fazala conveyed regards from the Emir of Qatar to the President of the Kurdistan Region and expressed great pleasure that Qatar has established a Consulate General in the Kurdistan Region. He underscored his dedication to fostering stronger bilateral relations between Qatar and the Kurdistan Region, with a specific emphasis on bolstering economic cooperation.
