President Nechirvan Barzani receives the new British Consul General Andrew Bizley

President Nechirvan Barzani welcomed Andrew Bizley, the new British Consul General to the Kurdistan Region, wished him success, and assured him his full support.

Mr. Bizley expressed his delight at the opportunity to serve as Consul General and highlighted the United Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening relations and fostering collaboration with the Kurdistan Region across various sectors.

During the meeting, both sides also discussed the upcoming Kurdistan parliamentary elections and expressed hope for a smooth and successful process. They also exchanged views on the relationship between Erbil and Baghdad, as well as the latest regional developments.
