President Nechirvan Barzani received Erman Topçu, Consul General of Türkiye in the Kurdistan Region.
Their discussions focused on the latest developments in the region, as well as the repercussions of the war and conflict. Both sides emphasized the necessity of enhancing diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation and to seek a peaceful resolution.
They also discussed the situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. Both sides concurred that all possible measures should be taken to ensure that Iraq and the Kurdistan Region remain outside the war and conflict, and to cooperate at all levels to uphold peace and stability in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
President Nechirvan Barzani expressed his gratitude to Türkiye for its support and for facilitating the movement through border crossings for tourists and the citizens of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Another topic of discussion was the effects of the war and tensions on Türkiye, the current state of bilateral relations, and perspectives on future developments.
