President Nechirvan Barzani received Ghulam Mohammad Isaczai, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Iraq, along with his delegation.
Their discussions focused on the political and security landscape in Iraq, as well as the activities of the United Nations in Iraq. President Nechirvan Barzani expressed gratitude to the United Nations for its ongoing presence and contributions in Iraq, emphasizing the necessity for sustained support and assistance from the international community to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region to strengthen stability and tackle challenges.
Mr. Isaczai expressed his appreciation to the Kurdistan Region for its cooperation with the United Nations and reiterated the UN’s dedication to continue providing support to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Another topic of discussion was recent regional developments and the repercussions of the ongoing conflict. Both sides underscored the significance of enhancing diplomatic efforts to resolve the issues peacefully.
