Erbil, Kurdistan Region, 8 September 2019 - In a meeting with a delegation of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), President Nechirvan Barzani reiterated the importance of solving the Kurdish issue through peace and dialogue, and stated that no efforts should be spared to bring about a lasting peace in Turkey.
President Barzani reassured the visiting HDP delegation, headed by the Mr. Sezai Temelli, the co-chairman of the party, that he will continue his efforts towards restrating the peace process in Turkey.
In addition to congratulating the President on his new post, the HDP delegation commended President Barzani's role in the peace process. Furthermore, they underlined the importance of peace for all in Turkey, and stated that the Kurdish people in Turkey seek to resolve the issues peacefully.
