President Nechirvan Barzani, during his visit to Baghdad, actively engaged in both the Coordination Framework meeting of the Shia parties and the round meeting of the State Administration Coalition, which extended late into the night.
During these meetings, the President emphasized the significance of political party coordination in Iraq, urging collaboration and the safeguarding of the Constitution and federal system. He stressed the need for a shared vision to govern the country effectively.
Furthermore, the President addressed the ongoing issues between Erbil and Baghdad, emphasizing the Kurdistan Region's commitment to resolving these matters through dialogue, in accordance with the Constitution. He proposed the establishment of a mechanism for regular meetings between the concerned parties.
In response, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and the meeting participants greatly appreciated President Nechirvan Barzani's participation. They reaffirmed their mutual desire to reach understanding and solve issues, underscoring the importance of continued communication.
The State Administration Coalition meeting covered discussions on mutual concerns shared with the Kurdistan Region Presidency, the importance of implementing the State Administration Coalition agreement that resulted in the formation of the current Federal Government, the current situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, as well as the Government's future plans and provision of public services.
