I extend my sincere congratulations to the Kurdish nation and all Kurds worldwide, as well as to the people of Kurdistan and all its communities, on the occasion of Newroz and the Kurdish New Year. I also wish to express my warmest regards to the families of the martyrs, the brave Peshmergas, and the security forces. May this celebration be filled with joy and peace for everyone.
Newroz is a symbol of freedom, renewal, and resilience—a festival that represents hope, determination, revival, and resistance, with a vision for a brighter future. Just as the Newroz flame has long inspired the people of Kurdistan, it now stands as a renewed call for unity, understanding, and collaboration to safeguard our constitutional rights, achievements, federal status, and political identity.
Newroz arrives during a time of heightened sensitivity, both in the region and globally. To effectively address the challenges we face, it is crucial to engage in cooperative efforts and constructive dialogue among the political parties and communities within the Kurdistan Region and with Baghdad. This approach is essential for ensuring stability and reinforcing democracy, justice, and human rights.
Peace represents our greatest strength and the most effective path forward for the Kurds and the people of Kurdistan. I urge all Kurds and Kurdistanis to deepen their commitment to peaceful principles and actions. The aspirations of our people are entirely legitimate, and a peaceful environment is essential for expressing them clearly. By embracing peace, we can further elevate the Kurdish cause on the global stage. There is a growing trend of peace in international politics, and it is in the best interest of the people of Kurdistan to align themselves with this movement as a peaceful nation.
In the Kurdistan Region, we uphold the principles of peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and mutual acceptance. The Kurdistan Region will remain dedicated to being a source of peace and stability in the region, extending our hand in friendship and cooperation to all communities within Iraq, neighboring countries, and the global community. Our vision is for a future where peace, stability, and development are accessible to all, ensuring the protection of life, dignity, and fundamental rights.
In our interactions with the Federal Government of Iraq, we reaffirm our commitment to the Constitution as the basis for resolving disputes through dialogue and mutual understanding. Iraq's stability, prosperity, and progress depend on respecting the constitutional rights of all its communities and authentically implementing the federal system.
We are deeply aware of the challenges faced by the people of Kurdistan. Improving their living conditions remains a top priority for all institutions in the Kurdistan Region. As we welcome Newroz, we renew our hope that we will overcome these difficulties. We remain resolute in our commitment to progress and will strive together towards a brighter future filled with hope.
