The position of the Kurdistan Region Presidency concerning the actions of the army towards Kurdish farmers

In response to the behavior exhibited by certain members of the Iraqi army towards Kurdish farmers in Kirkuk, Dilshad Shahab, spokesperson for the Kurdistan Region Presidency, remarked that: “Such behavior is completely unacceptable and must be condemned. The Kurdistan Region Presidency has been closely monitoring the situation and has called upon the relevant authorities to take appropriate measures against those accountable and to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents.”

Mr. Shahab also said: “Actions of this nature disrupt coexistence and social harmony; therefore, it is essential for everyone to reject such behavior, denounce the perpetrators, and ensure that they are held accountable under the law.”
