Kurdistan Region Vice President Sheikh Jaafar Mustafa, on behalf of Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, laid a wreath at the monument of victims of the February 1, 2003 terrorist attacks in Erbil.
Speaking to reporters after the wreath-laying ceremony, the Vice President paid tribute to the fallen heroes and praised the people of Kurdistan for their resilience and sacrifices made to protect and preserve the Kurdistan Region, including in the war against terrorism and ISIS.
President Nechirvan Barzani paid tribute to the victims of the February 1, 2003 terrorist attacks also in a tweet today, writing: “As we commemorate the fallen heroes of the February 1, we remember and honor their dignity and courage. The memory of our fallen leaders and loved-ones, who lost their lives together, should encourage us to unite further for the sake of our shared and cherished objectives.”
